Evening in the Canals of Venice
Collection of the artist
Reminiscent of the evening gondola ride in Venice, with two serenaders with guitar and accordion singing as we cruised the canals. Windows opened as we approached the houses, lights turned on and people looked and waved upon us as they listened to the serenade. It's but a sign how Italians loved melody so much.
But for me, it's an event I shall cherish the rest of my life, having shared a so romantic and wonderful time with my wife who passed long time ago, with feelings that has resided in me which inspired me to re-create the moment, the place and the atmosphere through
my paintbrush.
