Montmartre
Paris, France
Montmartre was the best place for painting, with a lot of famous artists as Pissarro, Toulouse-Lautrec, Van Gogh, Modigliani and Picasso to name a few. Beyond is the basilica of Sacre-Coeur of Montmartre. Also it's a good place to have dinner after viewing hundreds of paintings, originals and prints for sale by Parisian artists.
From California - simple and spontaneous sketch but to me, it created an indelible impression of Paris, better than any film could give, because it was "painted from the heart"
